Moving to Middle East?
I’m a marine engineer from Japan, and I recently moved to Muscat. After spending over a decade working in shipyards in Yokohama, I was ready for a change — somewhere with a strong maritime tradition but a more relaxed pace of life.
I found my new home through https://middle-east.realestate/fr/ and ended up buying a cozy apartment overlooking the harbor. The process was simple, and I really appreciated how smoothly everything went, even from overseas.
Now I’m working with a local shipping company on port efficiency projects and exploring Oman’s incredible coastline on weekends. The combination of work, nature, and calm living here feels just right.
If you’re in the maritime or engineering field and looking for balance without giving up meaningful work, Muscat might surprise you.
