How to find Glitch in Hp LaserJet 1100 using manual online

I'm trying to fix an old HP LaserJet 1100 printer. It's been sitting unused for a long time. So i'm not even sure if I'll be able to get it working. The problem is that either it doesn't print at all or it starts the process and then stops after 2 seconds. I took this seriously and read the instructions and guides I found on https://manualmachine.com several times. There's quite a lot of material on this model there. But even after reading everything, I still couldn't fix it because the situations described there don't quite match mine. It feels like I’m missing something. I've tried everything I can at this point, so I'm asking here as well. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

This sounds like a common issue with older LaserJet printers. After sitting idle for a while, the mechanical parts and consumables often start to fail. I'd start with the basics. Check the cartridge; even if it's not empty, it can "dry out." Also, check the paper feed rollers, as they often wear out. It's also worth trying to run a self-test print without a PC to rule out a driver issue. If the printer starts and then stops, there may be a partial jam, or the sensor may not be working properly. With these models, minor mechanical issues often cause these symptoms.
